NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ESTABLISHMENT
OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Township Board of the Township of Solon will hold a public hearing at a special meeting of the Township Board on June 22, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., at the Solon Township Hall, 15185 Algoma Ave., Cedar Springs, MI., 49319, on an application submitted by J-Star Motion Corporation for an Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption Certificate for building improvements on lands located at 13617 Woodlawn Hills Drive NE within the Township and legally described as follows:
Land situated in the Township of Solon, Kent County, Michigan:
That part of the Northeast one-quarter of Section 34, Town 10 North, Range 11 West, described as: COMMENCING at the East one-quarter corner of said Section; thence North 00°27’19” West 25.31 feet along the East line of said section to the PLACE OF BEGINNING; thence Westerly 472.41 feet along a 22885.30 foot radius curve to the right, the long chord bearing South 89°59’46” West 472.40 feet: thence North 89°24’47” West 527.47 feet; thence North 00°32’48” West 729.56 feet; thence North 89°58’20” West 320.32 feet; thence North 01°20’19” East 550.05 feet; thence North 89°14’25” East 1304.04 feet along the North one-eighth line of said section; thence South 00°27’19” East 1302.28 feet along the East line of said section to the place of beginning.
TOGETHER WITH an 86.00 foot wide easement for ingress, egress and public utilities, the centerline of which is described as: COMMENCING at the North one-quarter corner of said section: thence North 89°04’13” East along the North line of said Section 561.71 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING of the centerline of said easement; thence South 00°55’47” East 151.77 feet; thence Southwesterly 182.48 feet along a 250.00 foot radius curve to the right, the chord of which bears South 19°58’52” West 178.48 foot: thence Southerly 277.27 feet along a 350.00 foot radius curve to the left, the chord of which bears South 18°11’49” West 270.08 feet; thence South 04°29’51” East 642.34 feet; thence Southeasterly 840.01 feet along a 700.00 foot radius curve to the left, the chord of which bears South 38°52’34” East 790.51 feet to Reference Point “A” and the place of ending of the centerline of said easement. ALSO TOGETHER WITH a temporary turnaround easement over a 60.00 foot radius circle, the center of which is located at Reference Point “A”. ALSO TOGETHER WITH a 66.00 foot wide easement for ingress and egress, the centerline of which is described as: BEGINNING at the above Reference Point “A”; thence Easterly 204.25 feet along a 700.00 foot radius curve, the long chord of which bears South 81°36’47” East 203.53 feet; thence South 89°58’20” East 453.01 feet to the point of ending of said centerline. Following the public hearing, the Township Board may consider a resolution for the approval of an Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption Certificate under the terms of the Michigan Plant Rehabilitation and Industrial Development Districts Act, Act 198 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1974, as amended, with respect to the building improvements and personal property more fully described in the application.
All interested persons may attend the public hearing and comment on the requested Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption Certificate. Written comments may be submitted to the Township office, to the attention of the Township Clerk, at the above-stated address, up to the time of the public hearing.
